Creating Shy

Shy Cottage, an authentic 1880's settlers cottage was looking for some "TLC" when we first spotted it.  This classic cottage was relocated and given a major restoration and make over.   Shy Cottage has more than regained her former glory.  She is now a charming abode for those seeking character and luxury.

Shy Cottage has a private and lovely garden with many places to while away the hours, including your own thatched Gazebo. A deck immediately outside the cottage provides a place for alfresco relaxation, and a full sized gas-fired barbecue.

If you are teaming up with friends staying at Piquillo, then you can share a convivial cooked breakfast at your place.

Shy Cottage features include:

  • Bedroom with queen sized bed and luxurious linen

  • En suite bathroom with claw-foot bath, separate shower, luxurious towels and bathrobes and Les Floralies toiletries

  • Lounge room with a log burner, comfortable seating, flat screen TV, DVD player, and CD player and a small library of DVDs and CDs

  • Fully equipped kitchen with  coffee beans, Twinings loose tea and teabags, a cookie jar, a range of cereals including Deidre's homemade mueslies, and breakfast supplies

  • Open plan dining area with antique dining table which seats up to four friends

The Famous Breakfasts

Shy Cottage is supplied with a complete breakfast kit which changes daily. It could be a full grill of local bacon, venison sausages, ugly mushroom and tomatoes (from the garden when in season) or maybe French Toast and real maple syrup.

Each morning a bakery basket is delivered with your daily or Sunday paper to your front door.

What a wonderful way to start the day!
